I was born in Iowa and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota so I am a true mid-west boy. There is not a lot of things to do in North Dakota so I ended up watching movies all the time.I loved action movies and was inspired by them. In the 7th grade I decided that I was going to go to Hollywood someday and be an actor. When I made this decision, I cut off all other possibilities of what I would do with my life. I figured I would have to wait til I finished school and then move on to bigger and better things in Hollywood. While living in North Dakota waiting to get through school so I could move to Hollywood, I took an interest in athletics. At age 9 I discovered the sport of wrestling and decided to make it my focus. I didn't do too bad at the sport. I won 3 state championships while in high school and was even ranked #1 in the nation one year. I was invited to train at the Olympic Training Center which was a great experience and a real honor. I went on to win the AAU nationals.
Senior year in high school I was entertaining scholarship offers from all over the country. I decided to attend Eastern Michigan University. I just felt it would be a good school for me.While at school I studied film as well as psychology. EMU is also where I first began studying acting. I was working hard on the mat and in the classroom, and I even earned NCAA Academic All-American honors.
After graduating from EMU armed with a B.S. in Telecommunications and Film, it was time to head for Los Angeles. The move was pretty rough and scary but exciting at the same time. After arriving in L.A., I began studying acting as well as stunt fighting. It was rough being the new meat in town, but I started going to auditions and booking some gigs and things started to progress.
Now because of a decision I made when I was 13, I am living in the world of big money, big studios, and big personas. Crazy, huh?
Thanks for taking the time to read these ramblings. I hope you enjoy looking at my site.
